Kiccoro and Morizo were the mascots of the 2005 World Expo in Aichi prefecture. Kiccoro the Forest Child is full of energy. Morizo is an easy-going and kind old man. There is a profile here and lots of photos here. Kiccoro’s name in Japanese is キッコロ. Morizo’s name in Japanese is モリゾー.

  1. I think they are just about the cutest mascots ever! I don’t tend to buy a lot, but when I went to the Aichi World Expo, I HAD to break down and buy some of their merchandise. They’re all kinds of awesome.

  2. Many thanks for your comments, Simone. There is a blog post written by someone who worked as Morizo at the EXPO, here.
